Dr. David F. Marconi is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician. He completed his residency training at East Tennessee State University Family Medicine Residency program located in Bristol Tennessee. His initial training included a focus on obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, adult, and geriatric medicine. He was trained in both hospital and clinic-based care, with a focus on treating the whole patient, not just symptoms. He is happily married with a beautiful young and growing family. When not working, he enjoys running, recreational boating and other outdoor activities in sunny Florida.
Prior to meeting Dr Kordonowy, he was in practice as a hospitalist. Hospital medicine allowed him to maintain a level of portability as a physician while also allowing his wife to finish her training as a physician’s assistant. After working for several years in Tennessee, he decided it was time to move home to Florida. He moved to Fort Myers in January in 2019, expecting his first child. From January 2019 to December 2022, he served as a hospitalist and extensivist for Lee Health. He was employed working in several of the area hospitals and an outpatient clinic and infusion center. Dr. Marconi was quickly recognized for his energy and dedication to patients, being named rookie of the year in 2019, and recognized by administration as a physician leader.
He initially met Dr Kordonowy in 2019 just after starting with Lee Health. During his time in Fort Myers, he and Dr Kordonowy had several discussions collaborating about his patients and developing a rapport with each other. As a result, he was pleased to have been invited to join Dr. Kordonowy in private practice focusing on providing holistic patient care. He looks forward to developing long lasting relationships with his patients and practicing medicine the way it was meant to be – putting his patients first.
